Demystifying Impact Data and Corporate Funding
Madison, Wisconsin 53713 United States
This workshop is a practical, nonprofit-centered conversation about impact measurement and storytelling. In Part One of the session, we’ll demystify how corporate social responsibility teams think about impact—not to promote corporate funding, but to make those expectations clearer. In Part Two, we’ll explore how nonprofits can clarify their own definitions of impact, identify measurement approaches that are realistic for their context, and communicate their work in ways that feel accurate and grounded. Participants will engage with practical frameworks, real examples, and guided reflection, leaving with clearer language and next steps they can adapt to their own work and values.
The session is facilitated by Sara Ansell, Director of Analytics and Innovation at True Impact. Sara brings experience from the corporate social responsibility field, community-based nonprofits, local government, and the University of Wisconsin. Sara has supported corporate clients in measuring over $300M in donations to the nonprofit sector.
