Workshop:

Demystifying Impact Data and Corporate Funding

with Sara Ansell, Director of Analytics and Innovation at True Impact

Friday, May 15, 2026 | 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. | Catholic Multicultural Center

Cost: $15

Nonprofits are increasingly asked to demonstrate their impact—to boards, funders, partners, and communities—yet the expectations around “impact” can be unclear or inconsistent.

This workshop is a practical, nonprofit-centered conversation about impact measurement and storytelling. In Part One of the session, we’ll demystify how corporate social responsibility teams think about impact—not to promote corporate funding, but to make those expectations clearer. In Part Two, we’ll explore how nonprofits can clarify their own definitions of impact, identify measurement approaches that are realistic for their context and communicate their work in ways that feel accurate and grounded.

Participants will engage with practical frameworks, real examples and guided reflection, leaving with clearer language and next steps they can adapt to their own work and values.

The session is facilitated by Sara Ansell, Director of Analytics and Innovation at True Impact. Sara brings experience from the corporate social responsibility field, community-based nonprofits, local government, and the University of Wisconsin. Sara has supported corporate clients in measuring over $300M in donations to the nonprofit sector.

Throughout the workshop, the focus will be on learning together, sharing perspectives, and identifying approaches that support nonprofit missions—whether corporate funding is part of the picture or not.
