Sandwich Mission

The Sandwich Mission fulfills this mission statement through the making of brown bag lunches containing: a sandwich, drink, crackers, dessert, and an all important card with a scripture verse on it. They currently hand these lunches out in the West King street area of St. Augustine. The vision that God has placed on their hearts is to take this same concept that God has grown here and take it to communities throughout the nation, and one day, the world. Please visit their website to learn more about the vision and ways that you can help.
Samaritan’s Purse

Each year, many Christmas boxes are packed and shipped to children around the world. Good News is a designated drop off site for the shoe boxes, collecting thousands each year in November.
During the 2011 Christmas season, Good News received 3,139 shoe boxes. 3/5 of those children who receive a box come to faith in Christ (statistically, according to Samaritan’s Purse data) that’s close to 2000 children who would have made a decision for Christ during this last Christmas season. Give thanks!!!
We are thankful for Jodi Ferris and her service as the Operation Christmas Child Representative in this area. For volunteer opportunities please contact her, funferris4@comcast.net
Life Services

Life Services is a faith-based interdenominational organization founded in January 2008 by ordinary people called by God to an extraordinary mission – helping people facing unplanned pregnancies.
Deb Haller, Development Director for Life Network (Colorado), sums up our mission well:
“Picture a river with rushing waters heading for a great waterfall. In the water are hundreds of live babies.
Our ministries represent people on the shore who are jumping in the water to save as many babies as possible. While we never want to stop pulling those babies out of the water, we must do more. We must go upstream and find where and how those babies are stumbling into the water and prevent other babies from falling in.”
